Acquired as French, late 18th century; a note in the register attributes it to Moustiers, Ferrat factory, by comparison with one so attributed in La Faience de Moustiers; a further note in Michael Archer's hand compares it with examples attributed to Lunéville at the Lunéville Palace Museum.
