According to the register the jug is probably from the former Delaherche Collection (de Beauvais), Antiq no. 273, sold for 270 frs to M. Gérard (information from Mme G. Soudée)

Production
Acquired as Rouen, mid-18th century. Illustrated in Arthur Lane, French Faïence, 1948, pl. 31A as Rouen, c. 1770-80. Reattributed to Sinceny in 1963-5, when the arms were identified as being Fayard, probably of Sinceny (see register). Subsequently relabelled as c. 1770-80. For a similar Sinceny jug of the second half of the century see Galeries nationales du Grand Palais, Paris, exhibition catalogue, 'Faïences Françaies, XVIe-XVIIIe siècles', 1980, cat. 419.
