This is one of 616 prints of textile designs published and distributed under the title "Dessins Nouveautes" (New Designs) between April 1880 and April 1881 by a French publishers called Lechartier and Paul. The journal was available for an annual subscription of £10 and its target audience was probably principally textile designers and those in the fabric industry.
