This is a portion of a linen garment, with a broad band tapestry-woven in yellow and red silk. The band is in three parts, each filled with interlaced stems enclosing birds, animals, and scroll devices, and bordered by inscriptions.

Technical analysis: woven linen and silk tiraz. Ground: plain or tabby weave undyed linen. Warp: S-twist, 12 per cm. Weft: S-twist, 12 per cm. Bands: three tapestry woven bands. Tapestry slit and dovetailed, wefts in silk with no appreciable twists in yellow and red. About 24 ribs per cm.
