Historical context
These fabric samples are from the Kelmscott range by Osborne & Little, who are part of the Liberty Textile Group. This design has been reproduced from a William Morris tapestry called Acanthus and Vine. This was Morris' first tapestry and was woven in 1879 at Kelmscott Manor where it is now displayed. Reproductions of Morris textile designs have been taking place since the 1950s, and these are recent examples of this trend.
