Garter of deep blue velvet in two parts, buckled together right of the centre, the remaining 'tail' tied into a single flat knot. Edged with narrow gold Russia braid. Embroidered from left with 'QUI. MAL. Y. PENSE' and (to right of buckle) 'HONI. SOIT.' in narrow gold metal cord; the 'tail' embroidered with a leaf design in narrow gold metal cord. Lined with deep blue satin. Fastened with large press stud on to elastic addition.
