Circular plate on turned foot-ring (diameter 22.6 cm, height 2.9 cm); the upper face with central reserved roundel transfer-printed in black with inscription in Arabic, the surrounding area painted in blue enamel and gold with abstracted floral pattern, and with border of leaves and dots in blue and pink enamel ringed in blue; the rim is edged in gold (now rubbed). The base has the printed factory mark in iron red of the imperial eagle (indicating the imperial warrant) above the St George and the dragon (for Moscow), the latter contained within an oval band with the factory name and Moscow in Cyrillic, which in turn is above an inscription in Arabic Painter's mark of two dots in blue enamel on base
