Figure of a woman playing a flute (height 16.1 cm). She sits on a tree stump, turning to her right and with the flute raised to her lips. She wears a pinkish purple dress with floral pattern in darker purple, and a bodice with yellow ground and flowers in colours. The tree stump and rockwork base have applied flowers and leaves, all picked out in enamels. The glaze is thick and glassy.
Mark: an anchor in gold painted on rockwork base. The base has a paper label inscribed '119' (stock number of the dealer Charles E. Boast of Hove).
