Object history | Historical significance: According to the artist, "the relevant notes about this figure are partly she is cast from a mould, or in ceramic terms press moulded, and the moulds refer to ideas about cloning, archetypes and mimesis. And also most importantly that she is part of the series 'The Cast of Characters' made between 1995-8 and one of the Stone Mother series from that Cast who represents one aspect of the female."
