A full length petticoat fashioned in the western manner of black rayon taffeta with beige satin ribbon shoulder straps (both broken).

Object history
"The long length of the pukhang (IS 144-1993) that was acquired from the same source as this petticoat indicates it belonged to an upper class Kachin lady in which case she may have had a silk slip made to wear under her costume in the western fashion". Comment made by Mrs. Eleanor Clark (Gaudoin) in 1995. She is a granddaughter of a Sawbwa of Hsenwi Northern Shan States.
