The walnut stocks are inlaid with panels of pierced steel tracery engraved with hunting scenes within interlacing foliage. The horn fore-ends are a later restoration. The mounts of pierced and chiselled steel, the pierced pommel lined with yellow silk. The locks are chiselled in high relief with monsters and foliage, and signed on the inside of the lockplate with the initials 'V.F. over a pellet in a heart-shaped shield'. The barrels are of octagonal section at the breech, the forward part decorated with herring bone file work. They are signed 'Lazarino Cominazzo'.
