Tapestry hanging in handwoven cotton. With an abstract design of varying textures in purples, green, blue, orange and brown on a mainly purple ground. The central area is a mass of loosely arranged braided and bound tassels in the colours above. The ground of the tapestry is markedly slubbed, densely so towards the middle. At the ends, the warp threads are bound and arranged in a regular pattern without the weft. There is a sleeve formed at both ends to hold battens for display.
