In this circular relief in coloured wax on a glass background, Pope Benedict XIII is shown in profile to the right wearing a red cap and a gold-embroidered cope over a red garment. There is an inscription around the edge reading 'BENEDICTVS XIII. PONT MAX' . On acquisition the relief was dated to 1729 however the date is no longer visible.

Physical description
Circular relief in coloured wax on a glass ground. The Pope is shown in profile to the right wearing a red cap and gold-embroidered cope over a red garment. Round the edge is the inscription: BENEDICTUS. XIII. PONT. MAX. On the wooden container in which the relief rests is a second inscription in gold letters: Gio: Giorgio: [surnamenot fully decipherable].
