Place of origin

George Walton's early career was heavily influenced by James Whistler and C F A Voysey. He collaborated closely with C R Mackintosh on the design of the first two tea rooms for Miss Cranston in Glasgow. In the early 1900s, with shops in Glasgow, York and London, Walton was at the height of his success.
