This standing figure of a child wearing a white dress with a high corsage stitched in pink and pink shoes. She looks to the left and carries under her left arm a tabby cat and in her right hand, at her side, a brown jug. She stands on a grey painted dais covered with a carpet laid corner-wise. It is signed by 'J. Hagbolt' and dated to 1829. Hagbolt was trained in Cologne, but worked in Holland and England as a sculptor in wax, before returning to Germany in 1840.
