Object history | Joseph Bond 19th C owner putting crest on objects (added decoration in middle) Antique plate could be altered to suit a collector's taste. In addition to adding a monogram and crest it is possible that the chased decoration either side of the crest on this vase and cover may have been added to meet Joseph Bond's desire for more elaborate silver. It is not known if Bond requested this or the dealer, knowing his taste, added extra embellishment. |
