Medal depicts bust to left of Flugger, bearded. Inscription.
On the reverse a boy standing on clouds between two urns, into which he dips his hands. On the right Zeus seated, holding a thunderbolt and attended by his eagle. On the left Cronos seated, holding a scythe. Inscription.

Provenance: Salting Bequest. George Salting (b. 1836; d. 1909), an Australian who settled in England, bequeathed a large collection of works decorative art to the Museum in 1909.

The source of the allegory is not known; the meaning sems to be that good and evil are mixed together by the gods.
