Object history
This ladle was made by one of the important Victorian manufacturing silversmiths which expanded to absorb businesses such as Hennells and Chawner and Co ( spoon and fork manufacturers ) which had been successful earlier in the century. They supplied the whole trade from Hunt and Roskell and Garrards in London to retailers in Manchester and Glasgow.
