Object history | Gift of Mrs Margaret Chaplin The trefoil shape of this dish is a very practical solution to the serving of several different vegetables in individual partitioned sections. The handle can be detached for use on the table. Garrards sold a silver " round vegetable dish with division " for £ 39 11s 6d in 1810. Thomas and James Creswick were the original partners in the Sheffield firm of manufacturing silversmiths and platers. |
