To the right of the picture, three cattle are lying down at different angles, a calf lying alongside the cow nearest the foreground. In the centre of the composition a pale-coloured cow is standing, viewed slightly from behind at an angle, with its head turned to the viewer.

Production
This print is identical in style to prints E.450-1886 and E.452-1886, both of which are inscribed J. J. Biedermann f. - this is probably Johan Jakob Biedermann (1763-1830).
