This is a tilting/rocking toy in the shape of a surfer made in unvarnished wood. The round ended rocker (ends curve inwards) with a rounded support block across the middle of the rocker. Mounted on a post into the centre block is a surf board, painted fluorescent pink. The "surfer" is on the board standing with feet apart. Each arm is nailed to the body and swings. The hair is long pale yellow wool glued on. The lower body and upper legs of the surfer are painted yellow and black to show shorts, a pocket with a red heart and the shape of a shark. The figure is simply carved and has a peg nose.A sheet of cream coloured paper gives details of the toy's manufacture and shows in the bottom right hand corner the outline of the state of West Virginia on a rocker and marked with a red heart.
