Model of a fire engine with an extending ladder of pressed mild steel painted red, yellow and black with a clockwork mechanism and an area for housing a battery in the base. The ladder is raised by turning a wheel at the back. The ladder could be extended by turning a handle which draws in a rope (missing). When down the ladder rests on a bar infront of the driver's seat. The driver is missing.
