Teapot and cover of hard-paste porcelain. Globular body with moulded grotesque bird spout, J-handle and pinecone cover knob. Pot and cover relief-moulded with a band of Altozier pattern at rims. Painted with a scene of Italian comedy and 'Watteau' figures in a park, and another of two archers shooting at a bird target. Scattered sprigs of German flowers. Spout, handle and cover picked out in gold.
