This is a bust made by William Flaxman (ca. 1753 - ca. 1759) in the late 18th century in England. This bust is in wax on a marble pedestal and represents Joseph George Holman, an actor and dramatist. William Flaxman was the elder brother of John Flaxman (1755-1826). John Flaxman was an English sculptor, designer and teacher. He was the most famous English Neo-classical sculptor of the late 18th century and the early 19th.
