This is one of two dress clasps, or koma, (with IS.168:2-1991) used for joining the main garment (kira) of a woman in Bhutan during the 20th century. These pin together the ends of the wrapped garment at each shoulder at the front of the body. The pointed ends caught and held the cloth while chains (now missing) joined the two round ends of the pins at the back of the body at shoulder level.
