This boot horn would have been used to help ease on close-fitting riding boots. It is from an important collection of riding outfits and accessories previously in Castle Howard, Yorkshire.

Boot horn? used to assist riders when putting their boots on. It is made in two pieces of metal alloy. It has two hooks attached in the centre with metal pins. The horn is stamped in the centre with the maker's mark 'Maxwell Dover St' and at the edge 'Made in England'.
