Block printed in two reds on loosely woven white cotton. Design of sprays of flowers linked by delicate floral trails. In the spaces between two vignettes alternate :
a) a birdcatcher holding two birdcages, one on a pole, stands on an island with a palm tree before a chinoiserie structure;
b) two birds nesting on a quiver of arrows, and a flaming torch.
Height of repeat 39.5 cm. One full repeat in width takes up 63 cm, looking as if designed for narrower cloth.
