Sample of machine-woven three-ply woollen Kidderminster-type carpeting in green and yellow. The design is a repeating pattern of artichoke heads and leaves alternating in stripes with tulip-like flowers in shades of green, pink, blue on a dark blue ground. Both lengths of the carpet show the weaving selvedges, and one edge has an adhesive tape down part of the length. The top and bottom edge of the sample have been hemmed onto the right side of the carpeting.
