This small dolls' house or villa was made by Thomas Risley in 1889 possibly from a kit. It is in the style of a brick house of about 1860. It has a glass conservatory and coach house on each side. Very fragile, this would not have been intended as a child's plaything.

Physical description
Small dolls' house or model of a villa possibly made from a kit in the style of a house of about 1860. The house has a conservatory and coach house attached to each wing. Made of wood painted a deep cream, with a striped yellow and white awning over the front entrance. The coach house has been made to look like a brick structure, and the conservatory is of glass, and wood painted blue. A set of railings with two gates run around the front of the house. This is not a child's plaything as it is too fragile for playing with.
