Designer shoemakers came to the fore in 1960s fashion. Richard Smith and Mandy Wilkins started Chelsea Cobbler in 1967. This pair of women's shoes is an example of their extraordinary footwear. Butterfly-wing shapes frame the wearer's ankles in an exuberant, sculptural display.

Physical description
Pair of cream leather shoes with the uppers decorated with green and brown leather 'butterfly wings' at the ankles. Open and backless at the heels. Medium high heels. The uppers are slim fitting with rounded toes.
