One of a sequence of casts showing stages in the making of a brooch by Trifari, a leading manufacturer of costume jewellery in Providence, Rhode Island.

This stage shows one of the two major elements of the brooch, part 'B', as it appears after the sprue, formed when the molten metal was poured into the mould, has been removed.
