Place of origin |
This colourful turkey was made by the German firm Blomer and Schüler which made clockwork mechanisms for other companies. It began making its own toys about 1930 and was particularly well known for its animals. This turkey can be dated to soon after the Second World War because it has "US Zone Germany" printed on it. When it is wound up, the legs move and the tail fans out.
