Gold-toned albumen print from two wet collodion negatives of a river scene in France. The right hand side of the river is a meadow with a small group of people seated on the bank, and the other depicts a large country house with small out-buildings positioned along the waterfront, with a seated man on a jetty and woman standing, facing the camera. There are tall trees and bushes on the left bank also and a strip of very dark cloud stretches right across the sky.
