Schuco are probably best known for their mechanical and novelty teddy bears. However, the German company also made more ordinary examples. This is a very basic firmly stuffed bear with a somewhat surprised expression. The very round head is unusual.

Mohair plush teddy bear made in Germany by Schuco in the 1930s
Physical description
Short mohair plush fully jointed teddy bear with felt paw pads. The mohair is a golden colour apart from the muzzle and feet which are beige. The eyes are glass and the nose, mouth and claws are stitched with black wool. The stuffing is extremely firm.
