Roberts, radio manufacturers by royal appointment, are noted for their unchanging, high quality models. In order to provide an eye-catching centrepiece for their stand at the 1964 Earl's Court Radio Show, this R500 was covered with then fashionable leopardskin. The company wishes it to be known that it does not practice or support the killing of animals for their fur today.
