This eye-catching suit was designed and made for ICI by Savile Row tailors Kilgour French and Stanbury. It was created as a model to show the ready-to-wear industry that the new polyester fibre Textel could be tailored successfully.The design combines streamlined styling with modernistic fabric and zip detailing ,and was clearly influenced by the moon landing of 1969.
