Pair of dark red leather shoes with decorative black stitching and trim.

Clive Shilton is famous for making Lady Diana's Spencer's wedding slippers in 1981. These hand-crafted evening mules are cut and stitched to form stylised shell motifs, which were one of Shilton's trademarks. At this time his studio produced between five and ten pairs of hand-crafted shoes or boots a week, each pair identified by their elegant, delicate shapes and beautiful materials. Clive Shilton also made a range of bags and jewellery.
