Dressing Gown and Belt

1995 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Opulent dressing gowns have long been associated with languid deadence. Noel Coward set a seal upon this association, by wearing them with great panache on stage in The Vortex, 1924. Georgina von Etzdorf perpetuates this trend in the 1990s, with luxurious, deeply coloured velvet dressing gowns. The designer makes a range of clothing and accessories which feature her vibrant prints and devore textiles.
