Frederick Starke was known for his exceptionally smart, top-quality ready-to-wear fashions. This three-piece has a crisp white cotton blouse, slimline straight skirt and croppped matador jacket with curved front panels. The eye-catching satin cummerbund on to which the jacket fastens with self-covered buttons. Captivated by a photograph of it in Vogue, Mrs Sampson chose this dashing ensemble for her going-away outfit.
