Mini-Dress
1968 (made)
Artist/Maker | |
Place of origin |
Clobber, in Blackheath, was a leader among the many small, innovative boutiques that sprang up in the 1960s. They offered teenagers the 'baby look' in floppy, budget-price fabrics. In popular muted tones, this short-sleeved mini-dress has a high waist and smock-like, soft lines over short modesty shorts, which foreshadow the 1971 hot pants fad.
