Carved sandal-wood group depicting the marriage of Shiva and Parvati. Parvati is standing between the gods Shiva and Vishnu. Two minor deities above the trio shower them with flowers. They are surrounded by a flaming aureole surmounted by a grotesque Yali head. The carving is a copy of a sculpture in the Pudu Mandapa (gateway) to the great Minakshi temple in Madurai, dedicated to Parvati.
