This is part of a commemorative set of photographs given to Lord Armstrong to celebrate the completion of his Chairmanship of the V&A Board of Trustees in 1999. They are taken by the British photographer Nigel Shafran (Born 1964) highlighting parts of the museum, both its building and its staff.

Object history
This set of photographs was commissioned by the museum for the photographer Nigel Shafran to celebrate the completion of the chairmanship of the V&A Board of Trustees, Lord Armstrong. A set was given to Lord Armstrong at his leaving party and a set is held by the photography collection here at the V&A.
