A warrior figure with a sacrificial sword used for decapitations of sacrificial animals. Judging from the posture this image represents part of an equestrian group. The deity is probably Karuppan, an aspect of Ayyannar, a popular deity who was especially worshipped by the Kallar caste in South India as a guardian of the village deity.
