ADVERTISING IMAGE FOR PRADA
Photograph by Glen Luchford, 1997
Some fashion houses commission advertising imagery which creates a similar mood from one season to the next. In contrast, Miuccia Prada’s ad campaigns are chameleon-like, evolving to reflect the designer’s seasonal preoccupations. In this photograph for Prada’s Spring/Summer 1997 collection, the model Amber Valetta inhabits a dreamlike world, in which the designer’s clothing
is barely discernible.
