Object history
Pedro Meyer had a distinguished career as a photojournalist before turning to the digital manipulation of photographs, to explore the implications of transforming documentary images into fictional ones. Meyer’s work has drawn from traditions of street photography and contemporary Mexican writing to examine the cultural distance between Mexico and its neighbour, America. His photographic narratives use the traditional storytelling means of empathy, analogy and humour, along with state-of-the-art computer technology.
