Object history | Poster advertising the British production of The Lion King which opened at The Lyceum Theatre, London, 19 October 1999. Musical with lyrics by Tim Rice, music by Elton John and additional songs by Hans Zimmer, Lebo M, Mark Mancina and Jay Rifkin with book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi. Produced by The Disney Corporation. This basic Lion King poster was used throughout the run in London, sometimes with other wording below the image. This poster was used on the back of London buses, with the image - in conjunction with another on the other side of the back window, with lettering. |
