Rag paper invoice/receipt containing woven silk cuttings in 4 separate plastic wallets.
1) 8 plain weave silk cuttings, 7 having contrasting or darker weft/warp. 2 pale oranges, 2 browns, 1 rose pink with printed stripe of purple, 3 greens. Slight Z-twist in some. No selvages.
2) 7 plain weave silk cuttings, including 2 with ribbed appearance. 3 browns, 1 pink, 2 beige, 1 grey-green. Slight Z-twist. 4 with 1 selvage, of which 2 have selvage striping in other colouring.
3) 7 plain weave silk cuttings. 3 pinks, 1 pale orange, 1 cream, 1 lilac, l brown, 1 light green, most with paler warp/weft. One has 2 narrow brown stripes at 1 end. No selvages. Some damage.
4) 5 cuttings. 3 plain weave silk cuttings, all with ink numbers: 1 beige (brown warp/weft and white), 1 pink (ribbed appearance), 1 golden yellow (ribbed appearance). One pale green satin. One cream ground chiné with scatter pattern in 3 pinks, 2 mauves, 2 greens and 2 blues, with ink numbers.
