An Indian maid in a yellow skirt assists her, while an old Indian woman pours water from a ewer into a bowl to the left of the picture. An Indian boy stands nearby to assist, and there is also a parrot on a perch next to the dressing table. There are also a screen, two pictures, and a flywhisk in the picture.
