Object history
This poster advertises the ferry line from Harwich to the Hook of Holland (Hoek van Holland), which was established by the Great Eastern Railway in 1883. In 1923, after the enforced re-grouping of the railway companies, the route came under the control of the London and North Eastern Railway.
