Wedding veil of lace. Oval veil of Brussels application. Square meshed machine net with applied bobbin lace pattern. Details in needlelace including looped mesh in the centres of the border cartouches. The scalloped edges are decorated with garlands of flowers and with scrollwork single flowerheads and floral sprays. Trailing stems bearing leaves and flowers extend into the centre of the veil to the depth of 35 inches from the lower edges. The top of the veil is undecorated except for motifs of small circles arranged in regular rows.
